In 1997, Michael Wittner founded the company as managing director and owner, which originally developed software for Daimler AG. Today, Razorcat with headquarters in Berlin and a branch office in Waldbronn, Germany, is a leading tool provider with proven test solutions for embedded software in all industrial sectors such as industrial automation, automotive, avionic and medical. The company's product portfolio is distributed by numerous partners and distributors worldwide.
The core technology of the certified unit and integration test tool TESSY and the graphical editor CTE (Classification Tree Editor) was originally developed in Daimler's research laboratory in the form of prototype test tools. Just four years after the company was founded, the core product TESSY was successfully launched and positioned on both national and international markets. After many successful projects, among others for the customer Airbus and in the area of research and development, the product portfolio was significantly expanded from 2012 onwards. In addition to new TESSY versions, Razorcat has since offered testing services, seminars and other products, including the test management tool ITE (Integrated Test Environment), the test definition language CCDL (Check Case Definition Language) and tools for executing and managing tests on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test systems.
