Razorcat is proud sponsor of the "Hacktival 2019" (https://hacktival.io ) on May 11th and 12th 2019 at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media in Karlsruhe!
The organizer Hack & Söhne expects over 200 hackers who will work in teams of up to four men/women on their hardware or software projects. The topic is up to the teams and could be a web app, a Haskell API, an embedded application or digital art. After a short introduction, team building and joint project brainstorming on Saturday morning, the hacking starts - and lasts over 28 hours.
The teams get support from experienced mentors and also auxiliary tools like the energy drinks ("Wake up the panther in you!") from Razorcat are allowed!
On Sunday morning the teams have the opportunity to present their projects to the jurors. They select the finalists. In the late afternoon, the final pitches will take place in front of the large plenum.
In the end, a team of jurors - including professors from the KIT Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and entrepreneurs from the software and hardware scene - decides which project has been implemented most convincingly and awards the winners.
The winning team of the "Hacktival 2019" can look forward to prize money of 3,000 Euro, but second and third place winners will also receive 1,500 euros and 1,000 Euro respectively.
Razorcat is also represented with a booth and advises participants and interested visitors on how to functionally implement a software project as well as how to program it robustly. With our unit and integration test tool TESSY , the participants can test the robustness of their software directly at the event.
We at Razorcat are already looking forward to an exciting hack festival with enthusiastic young hackers and many creative ideas!
