From today an updated version of our unit test tool Tessy is available. Tessy V2.1 supports HTML as a format for test reports and functions using the keyword static can now be tested. Furthermore the use of alias names is now possible and stub functions were improved.

Alias names
To reproduce the use of #defines as an abbreviation for long and complicated variable names, Tessy allows the usage of these abbreviated names, like they occur in the source code, within Tessy as well.

Improvements for Stub Functions
Stub functions can now replace set / get functions that have been accessed by global variables, and these global variables appear in the Test Data Editor (TDE). Stub functions can now be edited with the Usercode Editor.

ASAP2 files recognized
Tessy recognizes ASAP2 files, which allows to use the physical values (e.g. the temperature in degrees Celsius) instead of the binary representation of that physical value.

External editor
Tessy can now work with any external editor in order to change the source code of the test objects.
