Razorcat’s TESSY supports ABIX HiperSIM for Embedded Software Verification of MELEXIS MLX16-based Automotive Systems
Berlin/Germany, 29 April 2025 – TESSY, the C/C++ unit and integration test tool certified for functional safety from Razorcat, now supports the ABIX HiperSIM simulator for the reliable and fast verification of automotive embedded software based on MELEXIS MLX16 CPUs. The new integration enables embedded developers and test engineers to streamline their verification processes for embedded automotive controllers, such as motor drivers, pressure sensors, ambient lighting control systems, utilizing Melexis’ 16-bit RISC CPU architecture – which significantly increases automation capabilities.
Reducing complexity and improving automation
Razorcat’s TESSY is a powerful unit and integration testing tool certified for safety-critical automotive applications according to ISO 26262. The test platform automates the entire unit test process for C/C++ code from managing and executing tests to tracking requirements, measuring coverage, reporting and tracing. TESSY supports test teams in efficiently designing, managing and automatically generating optimal test cases, both in the user-friendly TESSY GUI and fully automatically for CI/CD; the integrated Classification Tree Editor (CTE) provides a systematic and easy understandable way to create test cases; the Hyper Coverage feature helps identifying variants and untested code and provides a complete view of the test coverage combined from all tests.

ABIX HiperSIM is a powerful high-speed simulator for a wide range of CPU architectures: Being able to read CPU architecture descriptions, it can easily be tailored to simulate any specific processor, including MELEXIS MLX16 cores. The MELEXIS MLX16 CPUs are widely used in automotive embedded systems with demanding efficiency and performance requirements as the CPUs offer ultra-low power modes, small memory footprint, direct memory access, fast co-processors for multiplication and division.
