Download TESSY 4.2
The version 4.2 of TESSY contains many new functions compared to TESSY 4.1: The additional Call Pair Coverage (CPC) (also known as Call Coverage) is measuring if all call locations of functions or methods within the test object have been executed at least once. This fulfills the requirements of ISO 26262 as an alternate coverage method for integration testing instead of applying the Function Coverage (FC) method. In the Classification Tree Editor (CTE) a generator for classification trees has been added that generates a new tree based on the interface of a test object. A classification will be generated for each input variable with the possible values as classes according to the equivalence partitioning method. The component test feature (SCE) has been extended to also support testing of C++ source code. All necessary objects of the C++ component will be created and managed within the test interface. Additional software metrics such as “Call Count” and “Statements” have been added to the static analysis. An automated testing effort estimation, based on a customizable formula using the available software metrics provided by TESSY, supports the project management to estimate the test project time. A new task element provides means to protocol external tests and reviews and link them to requirements. This allows full verification coverage of requirements that are not testable with a normal unit or integration test.
The coverage selection within TESSY 4.2 is based on the applicable standard for your development project (e.g. IEC 61508, IEC 62304, ISO 26262 and EN 50128). The recommended coverage measurements according to each standard are enabled by default.
